Mini Arcade Games

Pac Man Mini Arcade

The video arcade was the place to be in the early 1980's, and just about every grocery store, gas station, and mall had at least a couple of games.  This craze also manifested itself in the development of miniature versions of the life-size, coin-operated counterpart.  Coleco was the biggest manufacturer of these little mini-arcade games (called table top games by some), and they did a very nice jog of externally emulating the real thing, although game play itself was less than a match.  Coleco had a number of licensed arcade titles, such as Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac Man, Donkey Kong Jr., Zaxxon, Space Invaders, Frogger, Galaxian, and probably a few more that we are forgetting.  Tomy, another toy manufacturer of the time, had a few of their own titles, such as Cosmic Clash, Alien Invaders, Lupin, Tron, Scramble, and Daring Driver.
