MINI-SERIES ON DVD   Buy New and Used   The Thorn Birds was a mini-series that originally aired in 1983.  There was a sequel released in 1996.  This series was about the life of the Cleary's, a family that immigrated from New Zealand to Australia in order to take over the operations of the family ranch.  Fans of the show will remember the side story regarding the forbidden love between Meggie and a priest named Ralph.  The min-series is available on DVD.
