Knots Landing was a prime time soap that ran from 1979 to 1993.  Fans of this show will remember that the stories revolved around Gary and Valene Ewing (relatives of the Dallas Ewings) who moved to California from Dallas to begin anew.  Of course there was plenty of adultery, fornication, and other forms of immorality inherent to the soap scene.  Currently you can get some old episodes of the show on VHS and season 1 on DVD.
