SEASON 1 ON DVD   Buy New and Used   Kate and Allie was a comedy than ran from 1984 to 1989.  Fans of this show will remember that Allie Lowell, after divorcing her husband, moves in with her best friend, Kate McArdle, in NYC.  Allie had two daughters, McArdle had one, and the blending of the two families proved to be worth a TV series.
