Buy New and Used   Gimme Me a Break was a comedy that ran from 1981 to 1987.  Fans of this show will remember that chief of police, Carl Kanisky, needed help raising his kids (Julie, Katie, Samantha) after the death of his wife.  He asks one of his wife's old friends, Nell Harper, to move in and help out, which she agrees to do.  You might remember that Carl's dad moves in at one point, as well as an adoptee named Joey.  Season 1 is available on DVD.
