Buy New and Used BOXED SET Diff'rent Strokes ran from 1978 to 1986.  In this show, Phillip Drummond, a rich, widowed CEO, adopts two orphaned boys from Harlem (Arnold and Willis), after promising their dying mother he would watch after them.  Also in the family was Kimberly, Drummond's daughter, and Mrs. Garrett, the housekeeper (this role changed over the years).  There was a tight connection between this show and The Facts of Life.  Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available on DVD.
