SUSAN ST. JAMES Susan St. James, born August 14, 1946 in Los Angeles, started her acting career in the 1960's (she is pictured above with the infamous Rock Hudson).  St. James is  probably best known for her role as Kate McArdle (1984-1989) in the TV series "Kate and Allie."  In addition to a couple of made for TV movies, other 80's movies that featured St. James included How to Beat the High Cost of Living (1980), Carbon Copy (1981), Don't Cry, It's Only Thunder  and (1982).  St. James has been seen very little since "Kate and Allie."
