SALLY FIELD Sally Field, born Nov. 6, 1946 in California, started her career back in the 1960's as Gidget on the TV series of the same name.  And who can forget her role as Carrie in the Smokey and the Bandit series (1977, 1980).  Field's 80's movie resume also includes Back Roads (1981), Absence of Malice (1981), Kiss Me Goodbye (1982), Places in the Heart (1984), Murphy's Romance (1985), Surrender (1987), Punchline (1988), and Steel Magnolias (1989).  Field continues to stay very, very busy.  You might have seen her on "ER."
