PENNY JOHNSON Penny Johnson, born March 14, 1961 in Baltimore, recently brought herself back into the spotlight with her role as Sherry Palmer on the hit TV series "24."  You Star Trek nerds know Johnson as Captain Yates on "Star Trek Deep Space Nine."  In the 80's, Johnson could be found guest starring on shows like Simon and Simon, T.J. Hooker, Hill Street Blues, The Jeffersons, and a number of made for TV movies.  Johnson also played the role of Vivian (1984-1986) on the TV series "The Paper Chase," and as Debbie (1986) on General Hospital.
