NIA PEEBLES Nia Peebles, born Dec. 10, 1961 in Hollywood, was a big time TV actress in teh 1980's.  In addition to popping up as a guest on shows like Hardcastle and McCormick, T.J. Hooker, Matlock, and a ton of made for TV movies.  Some of you may remember her for her role as Carla Escobar (1983-1994) on "General Hospital," Darcie (1981) on "The Musci Shoppe," Mallory (1983) on "Days of Our Lives," Nicole Chapman (1984-1987) on "Fame," and as the host of "Top of the Pops (1987)."  Her 80's movie resume includes A Single Light (1981), North Shore (1987), and Deepstar Six (1989).  Peebles continues to stay very busy.  For example, she had a stint on "Walker Texas Ranger" from 99 to 2001.
