MERYL STREEP Meryl Streep, born June 22, 1949 in New Jersey, started her acting career in the 1970's, and continues to be one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood.  Many people might remember Streep for her role as Sophie in Sophie's Choice (1982), but there were many more 80's movies than this that featured her:  The French Lieutenant's Woman (1981), Still of the Night (1982), Silkwood (1983), Falling in Love (1984), Plenty (1985), Out of Africa (1985), Hearburn (1986), Ironweed (1987), A Cry in the Dark (1988), and She-Devil (1989).  Streep was also the voice for several Rabbit Ears videos.
