MERCEDES RUEHL Mercedes Ruehl, Born Feb. 28, 1948 in New York, started her acting career in the 1970's.  Ruehl starred in a number of rather high profile 80's movies, including Four Friends (1981), Twisted (1986), Heartburn (1986), Leader of the Band (1987), Radio Days (1987), 84 Charing Cross Road (1987), The Secret of My Success (1987), Big (1988), Married to the Mob (1988), and Slaves of New York (1989).  Ruehl could be found on 80's TV as well, but not nearly as much.  She guest starred on a made for TV movie called "Mom's On Strike" and also on "Kate and Allie."
