LAINIE KAZAN Lainie Kazan, born May 15, 1940 in NYC, started her acting career in the 1960's.  Although you may not recognize her from this picture, many of you might remember her as the Portokalos mother in My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002).  Kazan was very busy in the 1980's, starring in the following movies:  One from the Heart (1982), My Favorite Year (1982), Lust in the Dust (1985), The Journey of Natty Gann (1985), Delta Force (1986), Medium Rare(1987), Harry and the Hendersons (1987), Beaches (1988), and Out of the Dark (1989).  Kazan also did a ton of 80's TV.  Besides guest appearances on shows like Hotel, St. Elsewhere, and Amazing Stories, Kazan did a ton of made for TV movies.  She also starred in the following TV series:  The Paper Chase, Tough Cookies, and Karen's Song.
