KRISTY McNICHOL Kristy McNichol, born Sept. 11, 1962 in Los Angeles, started her acting career in the 1970's, starring mostly on TV.  Some of you may remember her for her role as Buddy Lawrence on TV series "Family (1976-1980)."  From 1988 to 1992, McNichol played the role of Officer Barbara Weston on the TV series "Empty Nest."  McNichol's 80's movie resume includes Little Darlings (1980), The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia (1981), Only When I Laugh (1981), White Dog (1982), The Pirate Movie (1982), Just the Way You Are (1984), Dream Lover (1986), You Can't Hurry Love (1988), and Two Moon Junction (1988).  McNichol hasn't been seen much since the late 1990's.
