KATHARINE HEPBURN Katharine Hepburn, born May 12, 1907 in Connecticut (died in 2003), is probably best known for much of her earlier work, such as African Queen in 1951.  She started her acting career in the 1930's, so by the time the 80's rolled around, Hepburn was a seasoned actress.  Her most memorable 80's role might have been that as Ethel Thayer in the movie On Golden Pond (1981).  The only other 80's movie that Hepburn starred in, that we know of, was called Grace Quigley (1984).  Hepburn in a couple of 80's made for TV movies as well.
