JOAN COLLINS Joan Collins, born May 23, 1933 in UK, was quite the 1980's staple.  Although she started her acting career back in the 1950's, it was her role as Alexis Morell Carrington on the 80's TV series "Dynasty" that really gave her a name.  Collins was mostly a TV actress in the 1980's, starring in a number of made for TV movies.  The only silver screen flicks that she starred in, that we know of, were Nutcracker (1982) and Homework (1982).  Recently she had a role on the Guiding Light and continues popping up now and again.
