BETTE DAVIS Bette Davis, born April 5, 1908 in Massachusetts (died in 1989), was one of those great actresses who never lacked for work.  Some of you might be surprised, but she actually had a very active acting career in the 1980's.  She starred in a ton of made for TV movies, and her silver screen work included The Watcher in the Woods (1980), The Whales of August (1987), and Wicked Stepmother (1989).
