Anne Bancroft, born
September 17 (died 2005), 1931 in the Bronx, has had an illustrious
acting career dating back to the early 1950's. She
might be best rememberd, especially by an older crowd,
as Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate (1967). Her 80's
movie roles include Fatso (1980), The Elephant Man
(1980), To Be or Not to Be (1983), Garbo Talks (1984),
Agnes of God (1985), Night, Mother (1986), 84 Charing
Cross Road (1987), Torch Song Trilogy (1988), and Betty
Rigsby, You're a Fool (1989). Bancroft did little
80's TV, but she could be found in a few made for TV
movies, including a mini-series called "Marco Polo." |
