TONY DANZA Tony Danza, born April 21, 1951 in Brooklyn, started his acting career in the late 70's.  Many of you might remember him as Tony Banta on the TV series "Taxi."  His most popular 80's role just might have been that of Tony Micelli, on "Who's the Boss (1984-1992)."  There were other 80's TV roles for Danza, including guest appearances on shows like "The Love Boat," "Mr. Belvedere," and several made for TV movies.  His 80's silver screen resume includes The Hollywood Nights (1980), Going Ape (1981), Cannonball Run II (1984), and She's Out of Control (1989).  Danza has had a resurgence as of late with his own show, "The Tony Danza Show."  Quick Fact:  Before and during the first few episodes of his role on "Taxi," Danza was a professional boxer, something he started doing in 1976.
