Terence Stamp, born
July 22, 1939 in the UK, started his acting career back
in the 1960's. For our generation, his most
memorable performance was probably that of General Zod
on the Superman I (1978) and Superman II (1980).
As far as 80's TV went, Stamp could be found on a couple
of made for TV movies as the character David Audley
(1986), and a short run TV series called "Chessgame."
His other 80's movies include Monster Island (1981),
Death in the Vatican (1982), The Hit (1984), Hud (1986),
Link (1986), Legal Eagles (1986), The Sicilian (1987),
Wall Street (1987), Young Guns (1988), and Alien Nation
(1988). Stamp still stays very busy these days,
with several new projects in the works. Quick
fact: Stamp started an organic food line, called
"The Stamp Collection," in 1994 (he is wheat and lactose
intolerant). |
