SYLVESTER STALLONE Sylvester Stallone, born July 6, 1946 in NYC, started his acting career back in the early 70's as the Italian Stallion (porn).  There is doubt that Stallone got his big break as Rocky, in the Rocky series (1976, 1979, 1982, 1985, 1990).  But who can forget his role as John Rambo (1982, 1985, 1988).  Other 80's movies that Stallone starred in include Nighthawks (1981), Victory (1981), Rhinestone (1983), Cobra (1986), Over the Top (1987), Lock Up (1989), and Tango and Cash (1989).  Quick Facts:  The role of Axel Foley (Beverely Hills Cop) was to go to Stallone, as was the role of John McClane in Die Hard.
