Steve Guttenberg, born
August 24, 1958 in NYC, started his acting career in the
70's, but had a very big 80's. You know you are at
the top of your game when SNL asks you to host, which is
what Guttenberg did in 1986. Guttenberg did star
in a few 80's made for TV movies, and a short run series
called "No Soap, Radio," but more than a few silver
screen flicks. He is probably best rememberd for
his role as Carey Mahoney in the Police Academy movie
series (1984, 1985, 1986, 1987). His 80's movie
repertoire also includes Can't Stop the Music (1980),
Diner (1982), The Man Who Wasn't There (1983), Cocoon
(1985), Bad Medicine (1985), Short Circuit (1986), The
Bedroom Window (1987), Amazon Women On the Moon (1987),
Surrender (1987), Three Men and a Baby (1987), High
Spirits (1988), and Cocoon: The Return (1988).
Guttenberg continues acting, but nothing like the
1980's. |
