RODDY McDOWALL Roddy McDowall, born Sept. 27, 1928 in the UK (died in 1998), might be best remembered for his role as Cornelius on Planet of the Apes in 1983 (who are we kidding, you probably had no idea that was McDowall; He also played various roles on the majority of future iterations of The Planet of the Apes).  In the 80's, McDowall could be seen on a ton of 80's TV shows, including Fantasy Island, Hotel, Murder She Wrote, Hart to Hart, Matlock, The Martian Chronicles (1980), several made for TV movies, a mini-series called "Around the World in 80 Days," and several lesser known TV series.  His 80's movie resume included Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen (1981), Evil Under the Sun (1982), Class of 1984 (1982), Fright Night (1985), Dead of Winter (1987), Overboard (1987), Doin' Time on Planet Earth (1988), Heroes Stand Alone (1989), Fright Night Part II (1989), Cutting Class (1989), The Big Picture (1989).
