Robert Stack, born
Jan. 13, 1919 in Los Angeles (died in 2003), started his
acting career way back in the 1930's (he was part of the
original "Untouchables" TV series of the 1950's).
He is probably best remembered by us for his role as
host of the 1987-2002 TV series "Unsolved Mysteries."
You could also find Stack on TV, in shows like Hotel,
Murder She Wrote, The Love Boat, Falcon Crest, two
lesser known TV series called "Strike Force" and "It's a
Simple Life," and a couple of made for TV
movies/mini-series. His 80's movie list includes
Airplane (1980), Uncommon Valor (1983), Big Trouble
(1986), Dangerous Curves (1988), Plain Clothes (1988),
and Caddyshack II (1988). Quick Facts: Stack
was a multi-medal WWII veteran; In 1937, he held the
skeet shooting championship, 350 hits in a row. |
