ROBERT ENGLUND Robert Englund, born June 6, 1949 in California, is probably best known for his role as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare On Elm Street movie series (1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1994, 2003).  Englund actually did a ton more than this.  He started back in the early 70's, and by the 80's, you could find him on a ton of TV shows (CHIPS, Charlie's Angels, Hart to Hart, Simon and Simon, Night Court, MacGyver, Knight Rider, North and South II mini-series, Freddy Krueger TV Series, the TV series and mini-series called "V," and misc. made for TV movies).  His 80's movie resume also includes Dead and Buried (1981), Galaxy of Terror (1981), Don't Cry, It's Only Thunder (1982), Never Too Young Too Die (1986), and The Phantom of the Opera (1989).
