Rick Moranis, born
April 18, 1954 in Canada, got his start in the mid 70's
on Canadian TV. By 1982, Moranis was starring on
the "Steve Martin Twilight Theatre" TV series.
Many of you might remember the movie Strange Brew
(1983), where Moranis played the role of Bob McKenzie
(yeah, you hoser). Moranis hosted SNL a few times
in the 80's, as well as starred in a few made for TV
movies. Moranis has starred in some big time 80's
silver screen hits: Streets of Fire (1984),
Ghostbusters (1984), The Wild Life (1984), Brewster's
Millions (1985), Head Office (1985), Club Paradise
(1986), Little Shop of Horrors (1986), Spaceballs
(1987), Ghost Busters II (1989), Honey, I Shrunk the
Kids (1989), and Parenthood (1989). Although
Moranis keeps on working, he is not nearly as busy as he
was in the 80's. |
