RICHARD DREYFUSS Richard Dreyfuss, born Oct. 29, 1947 in Brooklyn, started his acting career way back in the 60's.  In the 70's, Dreyfuss starred in some great movies, like American Grafitti (1973), Jaws (1985), and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977).  But hey, this site is about the 80's!  Dreyfuss' 80's movie resume includes The Competition (1980), Whose Life Is It Anyway? (1981), The Buddy System (1984), Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986), Stand By Me (1986), Tin Men (1987), Stakeout (1987), Nuts (1987), Moon Over Parador (1988), Let It Ride (1989), and Always (1989).  He continues to stay very busy.
