Richard Dean Anderson,
born Jan. 23, 1950 in Minnesota, has recently regained
his 80's popularity, at least in the sci-fi circle, for
his role as General Jack in the TV series Stargate SG-1
(a movie is in the works). But long before this,
Anderson had the hearts of 80's fans with his role as
Angus MacGyver (yes, Angus, now you know why he went by
his last name) on the 80's TV series "MacGyver."
Few of you may remember his stint on the soap opera
"General Hospital" from 1976 to 1981. There was
also an 80's TV series called "Seven Brides for Seven
Brothers" that Anderson starred in from 1982 to 1983.
He really only starred in two 80's movies, Odd Jobs
(1984) and Ordinary Heroes (1988). Quick Fact:
Anderson had plans to play hockey for a living until he
broke both of his arms, then he turned to the easy life:
