RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN Richard Chamberlain, born March 31, 1934 in Los Angeles, started way back in the 60's.  In the 80's, Chamberlain starred in some of the most memorable made for TV mini-series that were aired, including "Shogun" and "The Thorn Birds."  Although Chamberlain mostly performed on TV shows during the 80's, he did star in the following movies:  Murder By Phone (1982), King Solomon's Mines (1985), Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1987), and the Return of the Three Musketeers (1989).  Chamberlain also had a quick stint on a 1989 TV series called "Island Son," and a little known min-series called "Dream West (1986)."  He dropped out of the acting scene by 2000.
