Ray Walston, born Dec.
2, 1914 in New Orleans (died in 2001), started acting
way back in the 1950's. He is probably best known
for his role as the martian on the TV series "My
Favorite Martian" back in the 60's. Walston was
all over the place in the 80's, with guest appearances
in TV shows like Simon and Simon, Trapper John, Fame,
Hart to Hart, Fantasy Island, Newhart, Night Court, The
Love Boat, Matt Houston, St. Elswhere, and Murder She
Wrote (to name a few). There were made for TV
movies as well, in addition to a short run series called
"Santa Barbara (1984)" and a part on "Silver Spoons
(1985). He was also one of the voice for the
Smurfs cartoon. His 80's movie list includes
Popeye (1980), Galaxy of Terror (1981), O'Hara's Wife
(1982), Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), Private
School (1983), Johnny Dangerously (1984), Rad (1986),
Paramedics (1987), From the Hip (1987), O.C. and Stiggs
(1987), Blood Relations (1988), Oro Fino (1989), and a
few others. |
