Paul Sorvino, born
April 13, 1939 in Brooklyn, got his acting start back in
the early 70's. He often plays Italian-American
gangster or cop rolls. Sorvino was a regular 80's
TV fixture, starring in shows like "Moonlighting,"
"Murder She Wrote," and some made for TV movies.
His 80's movie repertoire includes Cruising (1980), Reds
(1981), That Championship Season (1982), Melanie (1982),
I, the Jury (1982), Off the Wall (1983), The Stuff
(1985), Very Close Quarters (1986), Vasectomy (1986),
and a Fine Mess (1986). Goodfellas wasn't released
until 1990. His role on the TV series "Law and
Order" was also not until the early 1990's.
Sorvino continues to stay very busy, especially the last
several years. Yes, he is the father of Mira
