Patrick Stewart was
born July 13, 1940 in the UK. Stewart started his
acting career in the 70's, but really didn't start on
our radar screen until his role as Gurney Halleck in the
movie Dune (1984). By far his popularity increased
10 fold via his role as Jean-Luc Picard in the long
running TV series "Star Trek: Next Generation," which
started in 1987. Other than a few 80's TV
appearances (including mini-series), Stewart mostly
starred in movies, including Excalibur (1981), Uindii
(1984), Lifeforce (1985), Wild Geese II (1985), Code
Name: Emerald (1985), The Doctor and the Devils (1985),
and Lady Jane (1986). Stewart seems to be more
popular than ever these days. |
