Matthew Broderick,
born March 21, 1962 in NYC, first began popping up in
the 80's. One of his greatest 80's roles was that
of Ferris Beuhler in Ferris Beuhler's Day Off (1986).
The movie that really launched his career was probably
Wargames (1983). But these weren't the only two
great 80's movies on his resume, Broderick also starred
in Max Dugan Returns (1983), 1918 (1985), Ladyhawke
(1985), On Valentine's Day (1986), Courtship (1987),
Project X (1987), Biloxi Blues (1988), Torch Song
Trilogy (1988), Family Business (1989), and Glory
(1989). Quick Fact: Broderick turned down
the role as Alex Keaton on Family Ties, a role that
eventually went to Michael J. Fox. |
