LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS Lou Diamond Phillips was born on Feb. 17, 1962 in the Phillipines.  Phillips is actually only 1/8 Cherokee Indian even though he often plays Native American roles.  The movie world really didn't begin seeing Phillips until the 80's, and he starred in Interface (1984), Trespasses (1986), La Bamba (1987), Stand and Deliver (1988), Young Guns (1988), Dakota (1988), Disorganized Crime (1989), and Renegades (1989).  As far as TV is concerned, he would show up every now and again (examples include Miami Vice and Dallas).
