JIMMY SMITS Jimmy Smits, born July 9, 1955 in Brooklyn, had his start in the 80's as Eddie Rivera on "Miami Vice."  Most recently, Smits had a rather long stint on the TV show "NYPD Blue (1994-1998)."  Smits also starred as Victor Sifuentes on the 80's TV series "L.A. Law."  Other than some additional 80's TV appearances, his 80's movie repertoire includes Running Scared (1986), Hotshot (1987), The Believers (1987), and Old Gringo (1989).  For all you Star Wars nerds, you might remember Smits as Senator Bail Organa from Star Wars: Episode 2 (2002).  Perhaps we will see more of him in the third installment, Star Wars:  Episode 3 (2005).
