GEORGE PEPPARD George Peppard, born Oct. 1, 1928 in Michigan (died in 1994), began his acting career way back in the 50's.  As far as the 80's is concerned, Peppard was probably best known for his role as Colonel John Hannibal Smith on the A-Team TV series from 1983 to 1987.  He did star in some less known 80's movies, including Battle Beyond the Stars (1980), Race for the Yankee Zephyr (1981), Your Ticket is no Longer Valid (1981), and Hit Man (1982).
