DUSTIN HOFFMAN Dustin Hoffman, born August 8, 1937 in Los Angeles, is another actor who stands the test of time.  Hoffman has been acting since the mid 60's.  He didn't star in too many movies during the 80's, but he starred in some really great ones:  Tootsie (1982), Ishtar (1987), Rain Man (1988), and Family Business (1989).  Most of you probably remember him for his role in Tootsie, or as his role as the autistic savant in Rain Man.  Some interesting trivia about Hoffman, during his days as a struggling actor, Gene Hackman let him sleep on his couch.  He was also once considered for the lead role in Blade Runner, which eventually went to Harrison Ford.
