DENZEL WASHINGTON Denzel Washington, born Dec. 28, 1954 in New York, is another one of those actors who seems to stand the test of time.  This guy continues to keep working.  He actually got his start on late 70's TV, but it wasn't until St. Elsewhere that people began really knowing him.  Other than TV, movies that Washington starred in in the 80's include Carbon Copy (1981), A Soldier's Story (1984), Power (1986), Cry Freedom (1987), For Queen and Country (1988), The Mighty Quinn (1989), and Glory (1989).
