NEW AND USED WILL TO POWER CDS

Will to Power was an 80's duo made up of Bob Rosenberg, whose mother (Gloria Mann) was a 50's pop singer ("Earth Angel"), and Suzi Carr, a songwriter who had met with some success with the Miami Sound Machine (other members where added to the band later).  The two met at a music seminar in Ft. Lauderdale, and it wasn't long before they wrote a single, the song "Dreamin", which got plenty of air time in Miami.  This got the attention of Epic Records, who picked up and produced the song.  The song eventually charted on two Billboard dance charts.

Will to Power's follow up single, "Say It's Gonna Rain", also charted on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play charts, and both songs were featured on their debut 1988 self-titled release.  On this same album, they released two famous rock songs as one song, Peter Frampton's "Baby I Love Your Way" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird."  This medley was their biggest hit, ultimately landing at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and no. 6 in the UK.  Another charting single worth mentioning was the song "Fading Away".

Will to Power's follow-up release, 1990's Journey Home, did not do as well, but did feature the hit song "I'm Not in Love".  Will to Power would not release another album until 2005, but it did not chart.  The Will to Power Discography is as follows:

  • 1988: Will to Power
  • 1990: Journey Home
  • 1996 Love Power
  • 2005: Spirit Warrior

[starts] Shadows grow so long before my eyes, And they're moving across the page, Suddenly the day turns into night, Far away from the city, But don't hesitate, 'Cause your love, your love won't wait ho-no-no [etc]
