GREATEST HITS
Paul Davis - Sweet Life - His Greatest Hit Singles

Paul Davis, from Meridian, MS.,  started his music career in the 1960's as a member of local bands like the Six Soul Survivors and Endless Chain.  BY 1969, he had landed a record deal, and his first single, a cover of the Jamels' song, "A Little Bit of Soap", chartied as a minor hit at 52 on the Billboard charts.  He continued rolling out the hits well into the 1970's, including songs like "Ride 'Em Cowboy", "Superstar", "Thinking of You", "I Go Crazy", and "Sweet Life".

The early 1980's were also very successful for Paul Davis.  His 1980 self-titled released featured the hit songs "Do Right" and "Cry Just a Little".  It as his 1981 release, Cool Night, that was biggest success, featuring three hit song:   "'65 Love Affair", "Cool Night", and "Love or Let Me Be Lonely".  Some of you may also remember this collaboration in the 80's with Marie Osmond on the song "You're Still New to Me" and Tanya Tucker on "I Won't Take Less Than Your Love".

Other than the country music collaboration previously mentioned (mid 1980's), Paul Davis essentially retired from music.  It is worth noting that he was shot by a crook during a botched robbery in 1986, from which he survived.  In the late 2000's, Davis was composing new material when he died from complications of a heart attack.  The Paul Davis Discography is as follows:
