GREATEST HITS

Bette Midler, who was a lot more than a musician in the 80's, started her music career in the early 70's.  She released three albums in the 80's:  Divine Madness (1980), No Frills (1983), and Mud Will Be Flung Tonight (1985).  Although the song "The Rose" was released in 1979, we include it hear for the simple fact that it was played like crazy in the early 80's.

THE ROSE:
[starts] Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed, Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed, Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need, I say love, it is a flower, and you its only seed [etc]
