We
really can't give you too much information about this band, but we have
included them here because we actually owned two
of their albums back in the 80's. White Wolf started out
in 1975 as a band called "Slamm", changed their name to "Warrior", and
then eventually settled on "White Wolf". For the greater majority
of their career, White Wolf was a bar band in the Edmonton, Canada area.
In 1984, they landed a recording contract with RCA Records and
subsequently released Standing Alone.
A few of you may remember the song "Shadows in the Night" from this
album. White Wolf toured with fellow Canadian rockers Kick Axe
during this time.
In 1986, White Wolf released
Endangered Species.
The only song released by the band to have been turned into a music
video was the song "She'" from this album. You may also
remember the song "Time Waits for No One" from this album. The
album charted at 114 on the Billboard Top 200. After this release,
they sort of just faded away, much like Ocean Pacific t-shirts, until 2007,
when they released a new album called Victim of the Spotlight.
In 2008, White Wolf could be found on tour in Germany, and performing
locally from time to time. At the time of this writing, the White Wolf Discography was as follows:1984: Standing Alone
1986: Endangered Species
2007: Victim of the Spotlight
2009: Live in Germany |
