Buy New and Used BOXED SET The Fly (1986), which is actually a remake of a 1958 movie, starred Jeff Goldblum and Gena Davis (The Fly 2 was released in 1989).  In this movie, scientist Seth Brundle (Goldblum) is in the process of developing a teleportation device (like Star Trek).  During a human test trial, using himself as the subject, a fly gets into the tele-pod with him.  Their DNA is subsequently fused, and Brundle literally turns into a fly.
