BUY THIS POSTER!   Buy New and Used The original Poltergeist movie was released in 1982, with two sequels to follow (Poltergeist 2 1986 and Poltergeist 3 in 1988).  The original, considered to be one of the best horror flicks of the 80's, was about a suburban family living in a haunted house.  Why was it haunted?  Evidently the house had been built on old Native American burial grounds, and those below were none too happy about it.
