Buy New and Used   Based on a true story (kidding), Mannequin (1987) starred Andrew McCarthy, James Spader, and Kim Cattrall.  In this movie, McCarthy plays the role of Jonathan, an artist who is fired from his job of creating mannequins for being too slow on the job.  One mannequin that he created ends up in a department store window, where Jonathan gets a job as a stock clerk.  To make a long story short, a time-traveling Egyptian princess inhabits the mannequin.  Only John can see her when she is animated.  He falls in love with her & they hang out.  At night.
