Staring Sylvester
Stallone as dead beat dad, blue collar guy Lincoln Hawk,
Over the Top hit the theatres in 1987. In this
movie, Hawk's ex-wife, who is ill, asks Hawk to pick up
his 12 year old son and take him for a while. Need
less to say, surprise surprise, his son doesn't take too
kindly to Hawk at first, but slowly warms up to him.
After the mother dies, and the paternal grandfather
fights for custody, Hawk leaves to gamble all his money
on an arm wrestling tournament. But who tags along
unbeknownst to Hawk? His boy! All is well
and Hawk wins the $! |
