For us, an 80's party was not complete without a box or two of wine in a box (or Purple Passion in the 2 liter bottle).  The boxes had a foil bag inside, a spigot on the outside, and tasted a lot like wine coolers (another 80's phenomenon, remember Bartles and Jaymes?).  Yes, you can still buy these things, but as far as we know, they have 80's roots.  And wine coolers?  An 80's creation.
