For us, an 80's party was not complete without a box or two of wine in a box (or Purple Passion in the 2 liter bottle).  The boxes had a foil bag inside, a spigot on the outside, and tasted a lot like wine coolers (another 80's phenomenon, remember Bartles and Jaymes?).  Yes, you can still buy these things, but as far as we know, they have 80's roots.
