In the mid 80's, Wendy's restaurants had the clever marketing
idea of having little old Clara Peller visit other hamburger
joints and proclaim, "where's the beef?" This phrase was
very catchy, and spawned t-shirts and even underwear (get it?).
Wendy's fired Clara after she took a job with Prego in a new
line of commercials where she proclaimed, "I found the beef!"
