In our neck of the woods,
the 80's arcade game Gauntlet occupied a certain corner of
our local gas station for years. Up to four people could play
this game at a time. Battling ghosts, ghouls, and other
nastiness, the players fought their way through the maze of
corridors by way of found keys, slabs of meat, and beer kegs.
If we had invested the amount of money we spent on this 80's
video game
back then, we would all be driving Humvees today. Many
console (Nintendo, Sega, etc.). versions exist.
